Shop yourself when on island or pre-order  and deliver items to your catamaran on the day of your charter

Provisioning In BVI

Pre-arranging provisioning before you arrive is a great way to save time and money! You do have a couple of options and places where you can do your shopping that we mention below.
We highly recommend that you pre-arrange provisioning. Save time and precious vacation dollars! We recommend “Riteway Food Market” and ‘Bobby’s” All food items ordered will be delivered to your yacht at no additional charge on the first day of your charter. It is the charter guest responsibility to store items away upon delivery and any missing or spoiled items must be addressed immediately with the vendor upon delivery.

Can I shop myself when I arrive on Tortola?

Many guests like the option to go directly to the store before heading to the boat to do their provisioning themselves. The stores are close to the marina which makes it a quick taxi ride. While fresh produce is limited on the island, shopping in person gives you the chance to see what is available and get the pick of the freshest produce firsthand. This is also a great option if you are arriving after “delivery time” hours for most of these stores.

Can I pre-order online and deliver to my catamaran?

Another great option is to order provisions directly online. This saves you time and it’s one less thing to do when you arrive! Which means more time for fun! This option is great if you have a big group with many different tastes in food. It’s a good idea to order the bulk of your groceries online and then stopping at the store on arrival to choose your fresh produce. 
Groceries can be delivered to the boat, but please keep in mind the delivery times from the stores you use and your arrival details as you must be on board to receive the groceries.
The Catamaran company is not responsible for receiving and/or storing provisions on the boat.

  1. You MUST be present to accept the delivery. The Catamaran company cannot accept deliveries on behalf of guests due to space limitations and liability for order confirmation etc.

  2. When placing your order, it is recommended you confirm order and confirmation of delivery 24- 48? comments here... prior to arrival.

  3. Keep your provisioning company contact details saved in your phone in case of travel delays.

What is in a Starter Kit?

The following mandatory items will be placed on board prior to your charter start for a fee of $55 per charter by The Catamaran company.

  • 1 Roll of toilet paper per head

  • 1 roll of paper towel

  • 1 bottle (sm) of Dishwashing liquid

  • 1 box of matches

  • 1 pkt of handwipes

  • 1 box of garbage bags large

  • 1 bottle of rum

  • 2 cans of juice assorted, 4 cans of coke

  • 1 bottle of mineral water (1.5L)

Can The Catamaran company Store your Provisions prior to your arrival?

No, sorry we cannot accept your provisions and store in our offices due to space limitation and liability for order confirmations.

What is the latest date I can provision prior to departure?

We really feel that you should ensure you receive an email confirmation of your order at least 48 hours prior to your departure.

The Catamaran company & Dolphin Sail Charters is not affiliated with Riteway or Bobby’s therefore orders are placed, and payment is made directly to Riteway or Bobby’s. You order is only confirmed once you receive an email from Riteway and delivery needs to be schedule after 12PM the day of your charter or the following morning. Please be present to accept the provisions. The Catamaran company cannot store the items on your behalf.
